• Can I bring a partner?
If your partner is a creative who also wants to create during the artist residency then yes they can come.
There is a €700 fee on top of the residency price for double occupancy.
• Can I bring a family member?
If your partner is older 15 or older and a creative who also wants to create during the artist residency then yes they can come.
There is a €700 fee on top of the residency price for double occupancy.
• Can I bring my pet?
No pets are allowed on the Water & Rock residency as we already have four cats.
• Can I stay for more than 3 weeks?
Yes! Artists often stay for 4 weeks or more. If you would like to stay for more than 3 weeks, email us and we will discuss the length of your stay and agree on a fee together.
• Will you pick me up form the ferry port when I arrive in Thassos?
Yes, we will pick you up and drop you off at the ferry port when you arrive and depart. We will also help you organise your travel plans to get to the island in the fastest and most cost effective way.
• Are there shops in the village?
No, but there are in the closest town of Prinos. We will be going there a few times a week so you will have plenty of opportunities to stock up on food.
• Are there tavernas and cafés in the village?
Yes! In the summer months, there are 3 tavernas and a café all within walking distance. During the winter months, there is one taverna and one café open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
• How does the food work?
We all buy our own food but we regularly cook together, depending on the needs and wants of the group. Usually, people make their own breakfast and lunch and we cook and eat together in the evenings.
• Is the residency eco-friendly?
Yes, we are committed to minimum waste and ask residents to bring ecological bathing products, insect repellents and sun screens. We buy as much food as possible from local producers.
